Antique Albert Bagley Combination Dip Pen and Retractable Pencil in a Gold Tone

This stately rolled gold combination pen and pencil was a mechanical innovation for its era. With independent retracting components the wielder can use its dip pen function or its retractable pencil form. Marked Bagley near the head this piece is adorned with simple etching and floral patterned rings. It also has an amethyst glass stone set in the head of the piece. The pen/pencil is in fair antique condition with a chip out of the glass near the rim. The retracting components are both in working order.
